Pull the LEDLENSER P17R Rechargeable LED Flashlight from its Floating Charge System dock, and you'll have power for days, literallyâthe light's on-board rechargeable battery pack has a peak runtime of 60 hours on the 100-lumen Low Power setting. This feature-rich flashlight offers a maximum output of 1000 lumens along with programmable Blink, SOS, Strobe, and Location modes, controlled by a sliding multifunction switch just below the head. LEDLENSER's Advanced Focus technology makes it easy to switch between a broad flood beam for area lighting and a focused spot for viewing at distance, and you can lock the focus in with a quick twist of the head.
The Floating Charge dock can be mounted on a wall and can plug into an AC outlet or a car DC socket. Should the power go out, the light comes on automatically in the dark, a nice emergency feature that can make it a lot easier to find the circuit breaker box. The pack of two Ytrion 32700 batteries that powers the light has a life cycle of 5000 charges with virtually no loss of capacity. Dust and IPX4 water resistant, the P17R measures 11.4" and weighs 25.2 ounces. The included belt clip keeps the light out of the way but ready for use.

IP ratings define the protection of the products against the penetration of foreign particles (mainly dust, dirt) and water. The IP rating usually consists of two digits. The first digit ranges from 1 to 6 and indicates the protection of the product against foreign bodies and contact. The second digit (from 1 to 8 or 9) indicates how well the housing is sealed against moisture or water. Basically, the following applies: The higher the value, the higher the protection rating. There is one caveat: Up to the protection rating IPX6, the lower ratings are automatically included when the protection against the ingress of water is indicated. However, both higher ratings (IPX7 and IPX8) refer to another type of water ingress (submersion under water). That is why the products of our iL and EX series for example comply with the protection ratings IP66 and IP68, meaning they are protected against powerful water jets as well as continuous submersion.
